Norwich GenCyber camps receive $170K NSA/NSF grant, registration deadline May 14

Related Company:  Vermont Business Magazine Norwich University has earned two grants totaling more than $187,000 from the National Security Agency (NSA) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) to host two virtual cybersecurity summer camps. These comprehensive programs, free to all participants, will be taught by standout Norwich faculty and students including Director of the Center for Cybersecurity and Forensics Education and Research Professor Dr. Huw Read. The application deadline is May 14. The two grants were awarded in 2020 and deferred until now because of the coronavirus pandemic. They are: $88,047.79 for GenCyber@NU and $98,962.49 for GenCyberForensics@NU. GenCyber@NU, for the CyberSecurious, running June 28 to July 2, is in its sixth year and is all about understanding cyber basics, good cyber hygiene, and protecting yourself online.
