A combination of factors causing drastic drop in Norwalk COVID cases

NORWALK Norwalk’s COVID-19 cases are declining, but as officials have said before, residents aren’t out of the woods yet.
Following a trend from across the state, Norwalk’s weekly coronavirus cases have been going down. According to data from the city, there were 286 cases of coronavirus reported between Jan. 31 and Feb. 6. This represents a decline from 349 cases reported the week prior. The city’s weekly test positivity rate also continues to decline. The test positivity rate from Jan. 24 to Feb. 6 was 7.7 percent, a decline from the 8.8 percent reported Jan. 10 to Jan. 23.
