MALTON and Norton Tidy Group has collected over 500 bags of litter, from across the community over the past year. The Tidy Group’s activities have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic with group meet-ups being restricted and some established volunteers deciding not to get involved due to self-isolating. Antony Croser, from the group, said: In the period April to June, when the country was in the first lockdown, only 29 bags of litter were collected as volunteers largely stayed at home, however, this has been more than made up for as volunteers have picked up the pace and done great work whilst following the rules on social distancing.
