NWHU reporting an increase in COVID-19 cases

iStock DRYDEN, Ont. - The number of COVID-19 cases in the Northwestern Ontario Health Unit catchment area is on the rise, bringing the total number of active cases to 54. On Wednesday, the NWHU is reporting 14 new COVID-19 cases. Of the new cases, two are in the Emo region, one in the Sioux Lookout region, and 11 in the Kenora region. The number of active cases has increased from 49 on Tuesday to 54 on Wednesday. Throughout the catchment area, there are 20 active cases in the Sioux Lookout region, 17 in the Kenora region, 13 in the Emo region, three in the Fort Frances region, and one in the Dryden region.
