JACKSONVILLE, Fla. The Jacksonville Sheriff s Office is investigating after a victim was shot several times after being approached by multiple men while walking in Northwest Jacksonville Friday afternoon.
JSO said the shooting happened in the 2400 block of Maynard Street at approximately 3:21 p.m.
After responding to the scene, officers found that the male victim was walking in the area when two or three unknown men approached him.
The man who was shot by police in Northwest Jacksonville Friday has died from his injuries, according to jail records from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Monday.
