(ABC 6 News) Mayo Clinic will continue to give out the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, December 21, after it started with a soft launch on Friday.
The soft launch began with about 250 frontline workers.
Monday, Mayo is hoping to vaccinate at least 1,000 employees that work COVID inpatient units, emergency departments, long term care, and the morgue.
Dr. Melanie Swift, who is the co-lead for the COVID Vaccine Allocation and Distribution Program, said it has taken months to get here.
The program looked at every individual employee s risk at Mayo Clinic from things like how closely do they work with COVID patients? Do they work from home or on-site?
