Details set for Gustafson funeral Wednesday

KVRR Local News May 25, 2021 WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Northview Church in south Fargo will open its doors at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday for the funeral for West Fargo Police Officer Adam Gustafson.  The service is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church, located at 3401 25th St. S. Masks are optional. Public parking, including handicap accessibility will be available in the parking lot.  Law enforcement will direct the public as they arrive. Following the service, the public will be asked to remain seated while family and law enforcement exit the church.  A short ceremony consisting of a three-volley salute and the playing of taps will take place before the procession.

Burgum Directs Flags Flown at Half-Staff Wednesday in honor of West Fargo Police Lt Adam Gustafson

(Bismarck, ND)  Governor Doug Burgum has directed all government agencies to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff on Wednesday, May 26th, and encourages North Dakotans to do the same at their homes and businesses, as a mark of respect for West Fargo Police Department Lt. Adam Gustafson, who died while on duty May 18 at the age of 40. “Lt. Adam Gustafson served the citizens of West Fargo for more than a decade and served his country in the Army National Guard for seven years, dedicating his life to the safety and protection of his community and his country,” Burgum said. “Kathryn and I extend our prayers and condolences to his family, friends and law enforcement colleagues, and we lower the flags to signify our deepest respect and gratitude for his devoted service.”
