A chalet has been badly damaged due to a fire at a home park in Northumberland. In the early hours of this morning, the Northumbria Fire and Rescue Service were called to Blenkinsopp Castle Home Park, near Haltwhistle, after reports of a chalet on the site had caught fire. At 1:57am this morning, we received reports of a chalet having caught fire at the park, said a spokesperson for the fire service. When we arrived the chalet was engulfed in flames, however everyone was accounted for at the scene and are safe and well. One fire crew from Haltwhistle attended the incident and an investigation as to how it started is still ongoing.
