Two teams of volunteers in the region have pleaded with the public to act responsibly as restrictions begin to ease. Volunteers from both the Northumberland National Park and the North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Teams have asked members of the public to behave sensibly when visiting the area over the next few weeks. The pleas have also been made ahead of this weekend’s Easter bank holiday weekend which is set to see more people visit the area. We’re asking the public to be prepared and be adventure smart when they head out into the hills this Easter.” said Iain Nixon, team leader for Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team.
