Around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, the Denver Police Department said officers were investigating a crash involving two vehicles at Northfield Boulevard and Quebec Street involving a Denver officer. Two people were transported to a hospital, at least one with serious injuries, police said. It s not clear if the officer was injured. Following the crash, southbound Quebec Street was closed from 53rd Avenue and northbound Quebec Street was closed at 51st Avenue. Northbound lanes reopened at 5:40 a.m., but southbound lanes remain closed as of 6:30 a.m.

Two people were transported to a local hospital, police said in an updated tweet. Contractor dies after falling from scaffold, Murfreesboro police say A man hired to work on a gazebo in the backyard of a Murfreesboro home died Thursday after falling from a scaffold, detectives with the Murfreesboro Police Department said.  The incident happened at a home being built in the 1400 block of Avellino Circle in the Mirabella subdivision off Northfield Boulevard, police said. Police said Jose Ortiz Hernandez, 56, of Antioch, was unresponsive when his nephew found him that evening. Hernandez, an independent contractor, was working on the gazebo alone and his nephew came to give him a ride home a little after 8 p.m., investigators said.
