Residents upset by illuminated signs plan );

PLANS for two illuminated signs at the entrance to the new headquarters of Henley watchmaker Bremont have been opposed by neighbours and councillors.
The business is in the process of moving to its new office at Sheephouse Farm, off Reading Road, from its base at Sawmills in Marlow Road.
Planning permission for the new building was granted by South Oxfordshire District Council in 2017.
Now Bremont is seeking permission for the signs. They would be lit from 6am to 11pm each day using LED lights.
Harpsden Parish Council has objected, saying the signs should not be lit up.
No pantomime so props are used in villages’ fun trail );

MORE than 60 gardens in Shiplake and Binfield Heath were decorated with a theme of pantomime to form a Christmas trail.
The initiative was organised by the Shiplake and Dunsden Dramatic Organisation, or Shaddo, as it couldn’t hold its annual show.
Angela Jones, a committee member, came up with the idea for the trail, which referenced popular seasonal stories including
Aladdin, Cinderella and
Beauty and the Beast.
Residents made their own decorations or used props donated by Shaddo for the trail, which was in place from December 20 until last Saturday.

Residents driving to Codey Arena should use the western entrance to the parking lot that is across the street from the BP gasoline station. Left turns from Northfield Avenue into the parking lot will not be allowed. Residents waiting to enter the site should line up along Cherry Lane before turning right onto Northfield Avenue. There will be no walk up distribution at this location.
Essex County Hall of Records Employee Parking Deck - December 22
Residents driving to the Hall of Records will use the parking lot entrance adjacent to Essex County Veterans Memorial Park. Vehicles waiting to enter the parking lot should line up along West Market Street and then along Norfolk Street in front of Science High School. Left turns from West Market Street into the parking lot will not be allowed.
