Single death related to COVID-19 reported Saturday
The death was in the 80 plus age group and in the Regina zone.
The number of deaths in Saskatchewan related to COVID-19 has risen to 516.
On Saturday there were 21 new cases reported in North Central.
In the province there was a total of 196 new cases reported. Saskatoon led the province with 67 new cases reported.
Six cases that were reported out of province and three cases with residence pending were also added to North Central.
North Central 2, which is Prince Albert, has 80 active cases. North Central 1, which includes communities such as Christopher Lake, Candle Lake and Meath Park, has 46 active cases and North Central 3 has 53 active cases.
Prince Albert drive-thru vaccine clinic open this weekend
On Friday the SHA announced that the clinic will be open May 14 and May 15.
The clinic will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 14 and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 15 or until all vaccines are administered.
The clinic is located at the Thorpe Industries Warehouse, 1 Pine Street, east of the Provincial Forest Fire Control Center- North of Prince Albert on Highway 2. Direction signs are posted.
There will be no public washrooms on site.
The drive-thru site is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Effective, 8:00 a.m. tomorrow eligibility in the provincial age-based immunization program moves to 20 years of age and older, except for residents living in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District, where it remains at age 18 and older. This applies to all immunization clinics: booked appointments, pharmacies, drive-thru/walk-in, and mobile.
