President Uhuru Kenyatta s Ksh 2 trillion Lamu Port - South Sudan-Ethiopia-Transport (LAPSSET) Corridor Program includes the establishment of three new resort cities in Isiolo, Lake Turkana, and Lamu that will cost an estimated Ksh 133 billion
According to official government documents, the three new cities will be built via funding from private investors, once sufficient infrastructure to facilitate their growth is put in place.
The masterplan further detailed that the three new Kenyan cities will have five-star hotel facilities, national parks, golf courses, leisure parks theatres, and amusement parks.
