After the massive solar flare wound up busting big-time northern lights potential over all of Minnesota last weekend, another geomagnetic storm fueled by the sun led to a dazzling display of the aurora borealis Wednesday night through Thursday morning.
Everything worked out the way it was supposed to for Minnesotans to see the brilliant display of the northern lights. Everything except for the northern lights, that is.
There s the potential for the northern lights to be seen across much of Minnesota Saturday night thanks to a solar flare, but much of it will depend on cloud cover across the state.
