Brauhaus Schmitz, a German-style beer hall and restaurant in South Philadelphia, is celebrating 14 years of business with the return of its annual summer block party next weekend. The block party will be held along the 700 block of South Street from 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, with face-painting, a bounce house, water balloons, sidewalk chalk, summer barbecue classics and a chance to try out the city's largest selection of German beers. The event is free to attend and pay-as-you-go.
