Police road checks added to further enforce B.C. non-essential travel ban SHARE ON: The province is adding a new layer to its non-essential travel ban. From now until May 25th, there will be counter-attack style, police road checks set up on highway corridors that connect B.C.’s health zones. If you get stopped at one of them, you could be asked for: your name, address and driver’s license, documentation regarding your name and address (for example, secondary identification that confirms your address if you’ve recently moved), and the purpose of your travel. Police won’t be doing arbitrary vehicle or street checks.
