DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Northern Health Medical Health Officers declared an end to the COVID-19 outbreak at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital’s Medical Inpatient Unit Friday.
Since the outbreak was declared on February 7th, there were nine cases in patients and five cases in staff. One of the patients died in association with the outbreak. Since February 12th, there have been no new lab-confirmed cases related to the outbreak.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Health is advising that the COVID-19 outbreak at the North Peace Seniors Housing Society apartments located in Fort St. John has now been limited to just a single building within the complex.
According to Northern Health, there have been 15 confirmed cases of COVID-19 associated with the outbreak at the seniors housing. Of those 15, five remain active, and one resident passed away in November.
Northern Health Medical Health Officers have declared that the outbreak exposure risk is over for the complex’s Apartment Two building and Apartments Three and Four. Apartment One’s outbreak declaration has been changed to precautionary until the COVID-19 incubation period has fully passed.
