The spring 2024 packing event saw 2,400 volunteers sign up to pack from Thursday through Saturday, with sprints of packing happening for two hour stretches each of the days. The overall goal for the group was to pack 544,320 and, after two packing periods on Thursday alone volunteers packed more than 140,000 bags.

Bock was honored as a woman of distinction in the field of education, marking the second time in five years a District 6 leader was honored in the category. District 6 Superintendent Deirdre Pilch received a woman of distinction honor for education in 2019.
