David Beckham says Inter Miami has long-standing plans to create a women’s team.
The 48-year-old former England international said he and fellow co-owners Jorge and Jose Mas had discussed developing a women’s team at Inter Miami since first purchasing the franchise.
Beckham also highlighted the role his daughter Harper played in his desire to form a women’s team.
“I’ve always talked and me, Jorge and Jose have always talked about having a women’s team within the club,” Beckham told The Athletic.
“It’s something that we’ve spoken about from day.
