Look who’s just been jailed from Barry A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
JAKE SHEAD, 24, of Brunel Close, Barry, was jailed for 20 weeks after he admitted assault by beating, public disorder and being in breach of a suspended prison sentence. He was ordered to pay £100 compensation.
ERYN GRANT, 19, of Herbert Street, Barry, was banned from driving for 28 days and she must pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance and a licence.

JAMIE STEVEN WOODHAM, 32, of Romilly Avenue, Barry, was ordered to pay £439 in a fine, compensation, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer.

Police Cordon Surrounds Ryde Canoe Lake After Bird Flu Fears

Police have erected a cordon around Ryde Canoe Lake this afternoon (Wednesday), after several swans have been found dead in the past few days.
The discovery of the dead swans has led to fears of an outbreak of bird flu in the area, with the Isle of Wight Wild Bird Rehabilitation team labelling the deaths as extremely concerning , and urging people to stay away from the lake.
