A grass fire broke out on the North Taylor Hill Thursday afternoon - Submitted
UPDATE – The highway is back open.
TAYLOR, B.C. – The Alaska Highway has been closed temporarily after a grass fire on the North Taylor Hill.
The District of Taylor says their fire department along with the Charlie Lake and Provincial Wildfire Services responded to a fire on the North Taylor Hill just after 5 p.m. Thursday. ),whenLoaded(initFlexitive);
The grass fire started on the east side of the highway near the top of the North Taylor Hill.
The highway has been closed temporarily while crews attend and will reopen as soon as possible.
