Despite criticism from a N.W.T. First Nations community about firefighting resources, a spokesperson for the territory's wildfire response efforts says crews have "absolutely" been redeployed to Hay River and the Kátł'odeeche First Nation as the Hay River fire progressed.
Two of the wildfires burning in the N.W.T.'s North Slave region are now classified as "being held," meaning officials don't expect the fires to grow beyond a controlled perimeter.
