Ten North Shore communities have come together to encourage a safe return to summer activities residents know and love by launching a widespread vaccination campaign.
Spearheaded by public health officials and supported by city and town leaders, the North Shore Coalition for a Safe Summer will take a regional approach to providing consistent and clear public health guidance regarding vaccination and COVID-safe behaviors so that a safe reopening of local economies can happen as soon as early July.
The communities that are part of this coalition include Beverly, Danvers, Gloucester, Hamilton, Marblehead, Nahant, Newburyport, Peabody, Salem and Swampscott.

SALEM, MA With most state coronavirus-related restrictions now set to be eased or eliminated in the coming weeks and months, some cities including possibly Salem are choosing a more methodical path to the end of pandemic regulations.
And Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll said the Witch City will take an extremely cautious and thoughtful approach to the final phases of reopening as well. She told Patch the city will talk with Board of Health members and local experts over the next several days to determine whether to make any adjustments to the schedule in Salem.
