They tore up several miles of lanes on friday and poured fresh concrete over the weekend. Their original plan was to reopen those lanes early Tuesday Morning because they had to wait for that concrete to harden. But the work wrapped up early and the lanes reopened 13 hours ahead of schedule. Also new tonight, drivers will be able to check out new lights that were installed along. I80. From the buchanan street exit in our bunny to the carquinez bridge. 2 big story were following. Wet and muddy conditions forced people tending burning man to shelter in place all weekend long getting in and out was impossible until today. The westbound lanes of i80 between solano and contra costa counties has been closed. Caltrans expecting to reopen them tuesday morning. But those returning to the bay area today will face a detour around the roadwork kron. 4 Charles Clifford has an update on that work being done. Charles . Yeah. Caltrans says that they are on schedule to reopen westbound tomorrow morning. However, we are starting to see some backup on the detour which goes through benicia and that could get worse as we head into the evening hours.
