A 44-year-old woman was the lone victim of a fatal car crash on the northeast side of Indianapolis on Friday evening, according to city officials.
The Marion County Coroner s Office on Monday listed Lashaun Ceaser as the victim of the crash in the 5300 block of Massachusetts Avenue near the intersection with North Ritter Avenue. The crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m., according to a police report.
Police said the crash involved one vehicle, adding that Ceaser s 2005 Pontiac G6 went off the road and struck a utility pole.
Information about what led up to the crash has not been released. The incident is under investigation.
Two Shootings and a Possible Stabbing in the Same Area
INDIANAPOLIS–A shooting and stabbing Wednesday night in Indianapolis are believed to be related. Indianapolis Metro Police responded to multiple calls just before 11 p.m. at 13th and Rural streets.
When cops got there, they determined there were victims in different locations.
One man was found at 10th and Rural and had been shot. He was taken to the hospital. Another man was found on North Oxford St., at 16th and Rural. He may have been stabbed, and later died.
Just after 11, officers were called to Community East hospital on North Ritter, where a man had come in after being shot. That man was still alive and police were trying to determine whether that incident was related to the others.
