Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A small aircraft with four aboard crashed just after takeoff from a private airstrip in North Pole Thursday afternoon and caught on fire. A dispatch from Alaska State Troopers reports the plane was on fire when Troopers arrived at the scene. The pilot and all three passengers were transported to a Fairbanks area hospital for medical treatment. Their current conditions are not known. Firefighters from the Division of Forestry assisted with extinguishing the fire. The National Transportation Safety Board has been notified, according to the dispatch.
