The Fun Food Drive Thru Event is Friday and Saturday, April 22 and 23, 11.am. to 7p.m.
Food will be provided by S&S Bailey s Concessions. S&S says they ll be serving up elephant ears, deep fried Oreos, Polish Sausage, Italian Sausage, fries, corn dogs, and their Famous Fat Balls in the North Parking Lot. Fat Balls peaked my interest. From what I can tell, it s deep fried dough with the tasty filling of your choice.
The event is drive thru and walk up and both cash and cards are accepted.

Man gets 20 years in federal prison for 2018 Galleria carjacking, Jeffco store robbery

Albert Ward III, 35, pleaded guilty in September to use of a firearm during the carjacking and robbery. U.S. District Judge Annemarie Carney Axon sentence Ward to 20 years in prison, according to a joint announcement Wednesday by U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona and FBI Special Agent in Charge Johnnie Sharp, Jr.
Ward had multiple prior felony convictions in state court, including convictions for first-degree robbery, first-degree assault that happened during a 2012 burglary.
The carjacking happened Dec. 6, 2018. It all began that Thursday morning when a woman contacted Birmingham police to report her car had been stolen while she was inside a convenience store on Fourth Avenue in Birmingham. The victim’s phone was inside the vehicle and she was able to track its movements via a phone tracking app.
