GOOD NEWS: Joseph Kromelis the famed “Walking Man” of downtown Chicago continues to improve after suffering life-threatening injuries last month when he was severely burned while sleeping near Trump Tower.
A 75-year-old homeless man known affectionately to Chicagoans as the “Walking Man” has started to rebound from injuries he received when he was set on fire on in May while sleeping on the street.
Joseph Kromelis was admitted to Stroger Hospital in critical condition the end of May but he is now listed as serious. The hospital released no other information, citing privacy rules, and the prognosis for his recovery was not known.
