A Shreveport man was found guilty by a federal jury on firearm charges.
Orentha James Pea, 43, of Shreveport was convicted this week by a federal jury on firearms charges.
On Sept. 25, 2019, Pea was charged with one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm after being convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
At the trial, evidence was introduced to the jury of Pea holding a gun to his wife’s head in front of their children and threatening to kill her. Before this incident, Pea was convicted of domestic violence in 2017 and 2018 of his daughters and the violation of his wife’s order of protection.
