The Outreach Food Ministry of North Lexington Baptist Church has received $2,000 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation to help feed local neighbors in their time of need. This donation, as well as all other contributions made to the NLBC Outreach Program is used solely to purchase food from the Second Harvest Food Bank of NWNC. This food is then distributed free of charge to the needy families here in Davidson County every Tuesday from 4-6 p.m.
“There are no words to adequately express our gratitude to Food Lion for the support and cooperation they have faithfully demonstrated towards us and our food pantry ministry all these years. Their generous donations have enabled us to give food and hope to the men, women and children here in Davidson County who are hurting, hungry and hopeless. Food Lion is truly a vital asset to our entire community, said Outreach Director John Myers.
