Two Rhode Island residents were aboard their plane when the engine failed and it crashed into the water 2,000 feet from the runway. Paul and Alysia Larson were able to swim to a buoy, and with the help of the DEM, FAA and U.S. Coast Guard, the couple was brought to safety. 12 News spoke with Alysia Larson, who was piloting the plane at the time of the crash.
