SEVERAL schools in Braintree are set to be run by a new team as two Trusts merge after inadequate reviews. Notley High School and Braintree Sixth Form, The Ramsey Academy, Richard De Clare Community Academy, and Acorn Academy will all move from The North Essex Multi-Academy Trust (NEMAT). The move follows the proposed closure of NEMAT after the quick succession of inadequate judgements with two of their schools. Both Notley High School and Richard De Clare Community Academy received inadequate ratings at their latest OFSTED inspections. The Headteachers Board at the Department of Education met to discuss the move and following detailed discussions, felt the Bridge Academy Trust would be the best fit.
