RICHMOND, Va. The Virginia Department of Health is partnering with Walgreens to offer rapid COVID-19 testing across the Commonwealth at no cost.
Four Walgreens locations, including one in Richmond, will offer the Abbott BinaxNOW rapid antigen test for free through Wednesday, Dec. 30.
âWe are pleased to announce this public-private partnership that will help ensure increased access to COVID-19 testing at no cost for some of our most vulnerable communities,â said VDH Public Health and Preparedness Deputy Commissioner Dr. Parham Jaberi. The testing locations selected represent communities that lack a fixed testing location or have higher rates of vulnerable populations.â

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. Virginia State Police is searching for a convicted sex offender who is wanted for failing to register with the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry.
The Virginia State Police Sex Offender Investigative Unit is asking for the public s assistance in locating 45-year-old Charlton Leemon Evans.
Investigators say Evans was last seen was living at an address on Ford Avenue in North Dinwiddie up until about a week ago. He is believed to still be in the greater Petersburg area.
