The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is asking for help locating active bald eagle nests. Conservation biologist Sandra Johnson said the department is looking for locations of nests with eagles present, not individual eagle sightings
To keep CWD under control, Game and Fish conducts an annual study to see how the numbers are looking in our state, which experts say is crucial to knowing more about our infected deer population. Dr. Bahnson says that this year's study focused on southeast North Dakota, where they found no deer with the disease but that it still exists in other parts of ND, albeit in small amounts.
While the deadline for removing permanent fish houses from North Dakota lakes is March 15, North Dakota Game and Fish Department is urging anglers to consider removing their houses early in areas of the state where ice conditions are deteriorating.
