Shelton said $1.8 million from the Major Thoroughfare Program will go toward repairing roads. He and other leaders want an additional $800,000 this year from the Online Sales Tax. Shelton said there are many roads that need some work. City council members listed 60 so far and that doesn’t include major roads in Tupelo.
