WALLINGFORD â A minor crash on Route 5, like those that typically happen during snowstorms, and an officerâs sense of smell led police Thursday to $35,000 worth of drugs, including 3.6 pounds of marijuana and other drugs packaged for street sale, police said.Â
Keaon Major, 42, of Fairfield, was arrested Thursday on charges including narcotics possession and possession with intent to sell, police said Friday.
Officer James Knowlton found the drugs after the Mazda CX-5 sport utility vehicle, in which Major was a passenger, collided with another vehicle near Stop & Shop on North Colony Road at about 1:45 p.m., police said.
