Cannabis shops in Adrian: A positive impact

In the more than two years since the City of Adrian began allowing recreational cannabis enterprises to set up shop within in its bounds, only one safety incident has been reported.
Tamaris Henagan, the city’s attorney who helped fine-tune its current ordinance, says the presence of such businesses has become the norm for the municipality, despite pushback from a few citizens in the local industry’s early days.
That pushback feels familiar to apprehension from some residents of Monroe Charter Township, who have expressed many concerns about too many cannabis shops opening up in the near future.
