May 7 A man and a woman were taken to the hospital Thursday night after a shooting in East Durham.
Durham police said the incident happened in the 1000 block of Liberty Street, according to a Durham Police Department tweet. The department has not released any details.
The shooting happened in the parking lot of Long Meadow Park while youth baseball games were being played, WRAL and CBS17 reported. The park is near the intersection of North Alston Avenue and Holloway Street.
