The FBI complaint gives this account of the allegations against the Middletons:
Body camera footage from the Metropolitan Police Department shows two officers being assaulted on Capitol grounds near a bike rack barricade line at the base of the Capitol building s west front.
The two MPD officers were dispatched to help U.S. Capitol Police protect the grounds and Capitol building.
About 2:09 p.m. Jan. 6, the two MPD cops and other officers struggled to hold the line against rioters.
The rioters were refusing to step back from the barricade and were trying to break through the police line.
Mark Middleton, wearing a red, white and blue President Donald Trump beanie, pushed against the barricades and the police line.
