Charity struggling in the wake of theft of its £25k van

A CHARITY is struggling in the wake of the theft of its £25k van after a police probe found no trace of the missing vehicle. Staff at the Muirshiel Centre in Port Glasgow were stunned after the van they use to run their small DIY and gardening service was taken over the Easter weekend. They hoped that an appeal for witnesses would turn something up but officers have not been able to make a breakthrough. Officials at the charity now need urgent help to continue with their lifeline service for elderly folk in the area. The van, which had been parked near to a staff member s home in Bishopton when it was taken, also had £3,000 worth of tools inside.
