The Sid Hartung Memorial Rodeo will not go ahead this year.
Last year the Vulcan and District Agricultural Society moved its asset out of Vulcan’s rodeo grounds and plans to host future rodeos on land bordering Champion.

“The ground isn’t ready for the rodeo,” said Norma Lewis, who chairs the rodeo’s organizing committee.
The rodeo also did not occur last year, with last year’s cancellation due to COVID-19.
Other local events have also been been cancelled this year, including the show and shine, demolition derby and the Tinman Triathlon. Spock Days organizers are still planning to host the event, which is now scheduled to take place in August instead of June.
