Norfolk Public Schools partnered with the city of Norfolk and the Hampton Workforce Council to host an event to connect soon-to-be graduates with employers ready to make job offers for full-time positions.
The Norfolk School Board is set to vote on a new sexual education curriculum, which includes sexuality and gender identity concepts in its instruction, during its Wednesday meeting .The Get Real curriculum for grades 6 through 12 up for approval updates the division’s family life education.
With all ballots counted, the Virginia Department of Elections results showed 50.5% of the votes were cast in favor of Adale Martin, while 48.5% were for Carly West Gelles. Around 120 votes separated the two.
