CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Just in time for Christmas, a local family has a new place to call home.
Wednesday, the Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads helped a mom and her daughter move into their new house in Chesapeake.
Lekisha Wilson from Portsmouth grew up with her mother and siblings in a small house with no running water. Today, the Walgreens pharmacy employee is thrilled to have been able to purchase a brand-new home to call her own!
