Dutch-German transmission system operator (TSO) TenneT has opened a qualification period for a tender for the supply and installation of HVAC cable systems in the N-3.7 and N-3.8 wind areas offshore Germany.
Nordsee Two, a German offshore wind project owned by RWE (51 per cent) and Northland Power (49 per cent), is planned to include an electrolyser to demonstrate the technical and commercial feasibility of producing hydrogen at sea.
Northland Power Inc. and RWE Renewables GmbH have agreed to co-develop a cluster of offshore wind projects in the German North Sea with a total gross capacity of 1.3 GW.
