Republican lawmakers have advanced a proposal to reshape Montana’s independent redistricting commission in a way they say will remove the politics from the process.
Sen. Greg Hertz, R-Polson, introduced Senate Bill 200 to allow the option of allowing candidates in races for nonpartisan offices to declare a political affiliation.
