INNOVATION, creativity, and flamboyancy are three words appropriate to describe the spectacular fashion show which showcased the creations of the 2021 BA (Hons) Fashion students at Bradford School of Art. Last Friday (July 2), at the college s Lister Building, 12 scenes were displayed in three shows with inspirations taken from the likes of football hooligans, a popular fast-food restaurant and a 92-year-old internet sensation. The most daring creation has to be that of Brooke Coe s (Scene 6). Her Defiance collection was a mix of hidden identity, masculinity, and femininity inspired from football hooliganism in the period of1960-90. Brooke, who introduced the collection using a mix of Chelsea FC chants and Kasabian s Fire , said: I wanted to create a modern streetwear masculine collection with a feminine touch. My collection gives a threatening but boujee twist.
