we have breaking news right now from georgia involving donald trump s former chief of staff mark meadows, one of his 18 codefendants. i want to go straight to nbc s vaughn hillyard who has the latest. what s going on there, vaughn? reporter: right, chris, we re outside the jail and this just popped up here on the docket that, in fact, mark meadows, the former chief of staff has officially booked himself and surrendered to authorities in fulton county at the jail. we believe he s potentially inside as we speak formally going through the process as we expect the former president to go through just hours from now. for mark meadows, he contested having to surrender by tomorrow s noon deadline, but ultimately a federal judge rejected that yesterday. mark meadows does have a hearing this upcoming monday, as part of a motion to move his trial to a federal court. he contends he was working as chief of staff in a federal
