Vandals painted racist slogans on Mike Nguyen s storefront after he called Texas newly relaxed mask policy cowardly on CNN.

San Antonio restaurant owner and chef Mike Nguyen found his restaurant vandalized Sunday with racist words like Kung Flu, which was promoted by former President Trump. I knew that there could be a chance of this, to get vandalized or myself being attacked, said Nguyen, owner of Noodle Tree.
This comes days after he appeared on CNN to criticize the Texas governor for lifting the mask mandate.
On CNN, Nguyen said: The governor doesn t have us Texans interest at play. I think it s about personal interest. It s selfish and cowardly.

SAN ANTONIO – The owner of the Noodle Tree ramen shop that was attacked with racist graffiti over the weekend said threats have been “ramping up,” but that’s not stopping him from promoting COVID-19 safety and speaking out on hate crimes.
Shop owner Mike Nguyen, who spoke with CNN last week about his opposition to the mask mandate reversal in Texas, joined the network again on Tuesday.
