March 16, 2021 Vandals painted racist slogans on Mike Nguyen s storefront after he called Texas newly relaxed mask policy cowardly on CNN. SHOW TRANSCRIPT San Antonio restaurant owner and chef Mike Nguyen found his restaurant vandalized Sunday with racist words like Kung Flu, which was promoted by former President Trump.   I knew that there could be a chance of this, to get vandalized or myself being attacked, said Nguyen, owner of Noodle Tree.  This comes days after he appeared on CNN to criticize the Texas governor for lifting the mask mandate. On CNN, Nguyen said: The governor doesn t have us Texans interest at play. I think it s about personal interest. It s selfish and cowardly.
