Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate on Monday ‘Kerala Looks Ahead,’ a three-day virtual global conclave that seeks to lay down the roadmap for Kerala’s long-term development by factoring in perspectives from top economists, industry leaders, administrators and planners.
Among speakers at various sessions are industry stalwarts Ratan Tata, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Azim Premji and Anand Mahindra and Nobel laureate Amartya Sen. Fellow Nobel winner and economist Joseph Stiglitz and Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientist with World Health Organisation, will address the inaugural session.
BLR Airport records first landing under CAT IIIB conditions

Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru recorded its first landing under CAT IIIB conditions on the morning of Thursday. Radiation fog set in during the early part of the day, resulting in a rapid drop in visibility to 200 metres. During this time, IndiGo flight 6E-6389 from Lucknow made a successful touchdown at 07.41 hours.
The South Runway can facilitate aircraft landing with a runway visual range as low as 50 metres and take-offs at 125 metre. Before the upgrade, the permissible visual range was 550 metres and 300 metres, for landing and take-off, respectively. This upgrade by BIAL is expected to reduce disruption in operations and would immensely benefit passengers during inclement weather conditions.
Oyo raises ₹54 crore from Hindustan Media Ventures

× Hospitality firm Oyo has raised ₹54 crore from Hindustan Media Ventures as part of Series F1 round, according to a regulatory filing by the company.
Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd subscribed to 125 Series F1 Compulsory Convertible Cumulative Preference Shares (Series F1 CCCPS) of the face value of ₹100 each for cash at an issue price of ₹43.2 lakh per Series F1 CCCPS aggregating ₹54 crore through private placement, according to the filing to Registrar of Companies.
When contacted, the company declined to comment.
The fresh fundraising by the hospitality start-up came at a time when it is slowly recovering from the impact of coronavirus pandemic.
