column and he joins me now. and what? it was just about supporting gay marriage at first and now look at it. at the time it seemed like the right strategic move to make. i guess in terms of what the outcome was, actually achieving things like marriage equality, nondiscrimination legislation, it was the right move for advocates. with you what i realized 10 years later, looking back on not only the work i did but the trajectory that we have had as a country, i think that if the gay advocacy movement in the united states wasn t the inflection point where corporations felt it was okay and that the public would support them for weighing in on contentious social issues, it was most definitely the accelerant. about 10 years ago started seeing corporations changing their logos to rainbows during the month of june for gay pride. where ceos felt comfortable speaking out on issues like that. and what i think has happened now is we have not only had
